My name is Brian and I am a dyslexic learner which means sometimes I have to learn things differently to others because my brain will only make learning connections if stimulated in the right way. At school I sometimes find it difficult to spell words and needs extra help with my reading.
Having dyslexia can sometimes be a challenge but if you use the right tools and strategies you can beat it, just like me! Did you know that being dyslexia friendly is good for all types of learners? Teachers and classrooms should all be dyslexia friendly just like they are in The Learning for All Primary School! Not only does it make learning fun, it makes it memorable and worthwhile!
Brian the dyslexia friendly dog ...
If you look closely on my collar you will see the letters b and d. This stands for 'beat dyslexia' and ' be dyslexic'. Having dyslexia can be challenging, BUT with the right teaching and learning strategies it can be beaten. I am also proud to be dyslexic as it allows me to see and learn things in fun and interesting ways!
